Thanks to all that came out to the Tiers record release show. We all had a blast! Don’t forget to order your copy of the LP before they’re all gone.
Tiers are Jennifer Mears (vocals, synth, electronics) and Cult of Youth‘s Glenn Maryansky (electronics, synth, bass). “Winter” music video directed by Adam Seward and premiered on Hartzine (FR), Mishka (NYC), IndieNative (JP), and Brooklyn Vegan.
Tiers’ Winter 12″ (deluxe packaging) now available for pre-order.
DOOMSQUAD release a hypnotic new video for “Eternal Return” from their Artificial EP and their upcoming HDD full-length debut. Director Steve Reaume created the video “using his own algorithm that visually interprets the song mathematically. This results in a unique formation of blurred, grainy lines, slowly moving in kaleidoscope vision, triggering swift, paralyzing light as they begin to form more detailed objects ~ find yourself lost between their spiritual forces and a wicked video that matches the vibe perfectly.” (via Portals)
Doomsquad will be touring Eastern Canada with HSY this September/October,
followed by a tour of the UK/EU in November/December.
“Eternal Return” premiered on Portals and is featured as “Video of the Week” in Hartzine (Paris).

We’re very happy to announce that Tiers have joined Artificial Records for their debut release. Check out the track below for a taste of whats to come.
“Like most of the bands around the Wierd camp, Dream Affair do an amazing job of taking something old and rare and keeping it pure. Their new cassette, ‘Aborted State’ could be from 1982. If it aint broke…”
Listen to DREAM AFFAIR‘s song “The Porter” on Kubiat Nnamdie’s mix recently curated for the-juke.com. Tracklist here.

“The young Brooklyn coldwave trio Dream Affair pay fair homage to gothic sounds of 1980s Britain on their recent Aborted State cassette, fusing voguish Cure/Sisters of Mercy-derived morosity with industrial and pop leanings à la Wierd Records. Prep for October’s impending All Hallow’s Eve with “The Porter”, where the band casts just enough restraint and thematic hopelessness over familiar elements– skeletal synth melodies, deep mechanized thuds– to feel distinct. Naturally the track has got a gloomy, self-produced video set in ruinous post-WWII Berlin; Altered State will be out on 12″ vinyl early next year via Toronto’s Artificial Records.” ~ Pitchfork Media
