WISH kick off 2015 with a video premiere of “Slacker,” directed by Luke McClutcheon, from their self-titled debut album via SPIN.

“”Slacker,” a highlight from last year’s self-titled album by Canadian dream-pop fuzzsters Wish. As dueling Yo La Tengo-esque guitars envelop Kyle Connolly’s washed-out vocals, the singer walks around an empty Aquarium of Niagara, gawking at the fish, cuddling with a sea lion, and at video’s climax, taking a dip in the deep blue himself.” – SPIN

Catch WISH this Friday, January 16th Come Up To My Room, the 10-day annual alternative design extravaganza held at The Gladstone Hotel in Toronto.

ETIQUETTE is pleased to share the video for “Outside In” through a premiere by STEREOGUM. The song appears on their forthcoming debut album, Reminisce, due for release February 24, 2015 on Hand Drawn Dracula. The video was directed by Christopher Mills and Gaëlle Legrand, with support from MuchFACT.

“the album will be one to look out for. It’s eerie, minimal synth and guitar music in the vein of Chromatics, or the back half of Talking Heads’ Remain In Light” ~ STEREOGUM

“Outside In” will be available digitally on December 16th, just two days before Etiquette take the stage in their hometown of Toronto at Danforth Music Hall, opening for Rural Alberta Advantage.

BELIEFS is pleased to launch the video for new song “Tidal Wave” via the fine folks at STEREOGUM. The video, directed by T.Blumas and Laura Lynn Petrick, perfectly complements the song evoking an atmosphere of pre-digital age, public access late-night music television. The track is a preview from the forthcoming album Leaper, scheduled to be released in spring 2015.

“Beliefs hail from Toronto and make the kind of fogged-in shoegaze that stands the test of time — I could have seen this band play last weekend in Brooklyn, but my mom could have seen them the year I was born.” ~ STEREOGUM

PRAISES “The Devil” video premieres on CHARTATTACK and local shows announced.

“The co-leader of Toronto shoegazers Beliefs debuts an otherworldly video for her dusted pop solo project. In Jesse Crowe’s Praises, you can still hear the same knack for sweeping melody displayed in the fuzzier shoegaze project Beliefs. It’s good music for impromptu journeys, and in her video for the “The Devil” we’re treated to a living room performance (shot by her father) superimposed with footage of a trip through Iceland.” ~ CHARTATTACK

ETIQUETTE – What happens when the stunning singer/songwriter Julie Fader meets Graham Walsh of HOLY FUCK? In a nutshell, incredibly sophisticated pop music that is funky, slick, and seductive.

LOBBY – Members of Decades and Elsa form a new project as LOBBY and release their first single, “Out On The Scene”. Lobby sets a classic aesthetic tone with a modern edge that acknowledges artistic influences from Brian Eno, Roxy Music, the Chameleons, Pet Shop Boys, early Acid House, and ’90s sophisti-pop Sade.

WISH‘s self-tiled debut album premiered on CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND, EXCLAIM!, and earned a NNNN review in NOW Magazine so far! WISH will be released August 26th via Hand Drawn Dracula

“Their unbridled and spontaneous blend of psych rock and dream pop drew on everyone from Neu! to King Khan, Pavement to Meat Puppets. – Hiding under all that fuzz are jagged alt rock riffs, glowing pop harmonies, punkish snarl, bits of prog rock grandeur, and specks of the blues and industrial.” ~ CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND

“self-titled debut perfectly balances psych, pop and shoegaze. It’s dramatic and spacey (the fade in and out of instrumental track Frances In Space sounds like Spiritualized), while Connolly’s vocals are paradoxically crisp and lo-fi, like Bradford Cox’s in Deerhunter.” ~ NNNN / NOW
