ETIQUETTE premiere their new video for “Attention Seeker” on NOISEY today ~ the video “will make you want to find the nearest vehicle and steam up the windows.” Directed by Trevor Blumas (DOOMSQUAD) and Ghostprom.
“Attention Seeker bears a moody, mellow bassline, akin in vibe to Metronomy’s She Wants. It could also totally have been part of the soundtrack to The Virgin Suicides. All of which is to say Attention Seeker is both dreamy and unsettling and the video is full of shadowy eroticism” ~ NOISEY
Reminisce is available to order now on LP, CD, and Premium Digital via Hand Drawn Dracula (HERE)
and via iTunes USA (FREE Single FEATURE iTunes USA) and iTunes Canada (New & Noteworthy Feature).
“Julie Fader and Graham Walsh of ETIQUETTE – partners in music and life – bring their intoxicating, sultry sound to Studio Q. Their debut record, Reminisce, is a wholly original sonic exploration. Listening feels like wandering foggy city streets in the twilight hours.
The pair join guest host Jelena Adzic to discuss their penchant for collaboration and how their first major project together differs from what came before.” ~ Q
ETIQUETTE is a collaborative project of producer Graham Walsh (METZ, Viet Cong, Alvvays) and vocalist JULIE FADER.
Walsh’s “synth-heavy production also recalls classic acts like Eurythmics and Depeche Mode, and feels especially hypnotic when paired with Fader’s vocals, steady and feathery like those of Metric’s Emily Haines. ~ From the sparse starts (“Pleasantries”) to the pulsing intensity (“Twinkling Stars”), it’s difficult not to be enveloped by the Canadian natives’ lush and dreamy atmospherics.”
~ CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND
“slow, pulsing, dreamy synth clouds and melancholy lyrics, with the occasional blast of uptempo, dancefloor-ready electro”

Scion Sessions and Toronto dream pop duo ETIQUETTE (HolyFuck’s Graham Walsh and indie icon JULIE FADER) bring you the visual treatment for Brown and Blue; the latest offering from their debut album Reminisce, due out March 24th, 2015.
Directors Christopher Mills and Gaëlle Legrand bring their unique vision to the table, capturing the ethereal mood and tone of Etiquette’s Brown and Blue. “When a lonely Alchemist from a parallel universe begins experimenting with the abstract, new worlds can open up. Our camera floats hypnotically around his breezy, dilapidated laboratory, at times guided by the ghosts and memories of his past experiments – pushed, it seems, by Etiquette’s steady, pace, lush production, vocals, and cryptic lyrics.” ~ Chris Mills
Scion Sessions has previously collaborated with Etiquette & HDD on the sparse and moody track Outside In as part of the joint Scion Sessions x Field Trip limited edition Discovery Series 7”, as well as supporting their unforgettable live performance at the Field Trip Discovery Series / Hand Drawn Dracula showcase.
WISH kick off 2015 with a video premiere of “Slacker,” directed by Luke McClutcheon, from their self-titled debut album via SPIN.
“”Slacker,” a highlight from last year’s self-titled album by Canadian dream-pop fuzzsters Wish. As dueling Yo La Tengo-esque guitars envelop Kyle Connolly’s washed-out vocals, the singer walks around an empty Aquarium of Niagara, gawking at the fish, cuddling with a sea lion, and at video’s climax, taking a dip in the deep blue himself.” ~ SPIN
Catch WISH this Friday, January 16th at Heretical Objects Cooperative’s opening night for Come Up To My Room, the 10-day annual alternative design extravaganza held at The Gladstone Hotel in Toronto.
“The ancient electronic sounds of Doomsquad are part new age, part experimental and entirely original. After releasing their 2014 debut, Kalaboogie, on Toronto’s Hand Drawn Dracula label, they’ve been building a slow and steady momentum. One day they will explode like 1,000 stars in the sky, and we’ll be there to say, “Told you so.”” ~ CBC Radio3
“A defiantly “album”-like album in an iPod era, Doomsquad’s full-length debut is a monument to bloodyminded strangeness: a free-flowing melange of creepy chants, druggy drones and lockstep beats that only truly betrays its greatness when consumed in a single, enchanting sitting.” ~ The Star

“the Halifax duo washes over you with a sound rich with texture and reverb ~ buzzing with garage-rock energy and layered with a California fuzz so warm that if you just rolled down the window, you could almost taste the salty air.” ~ CBC Radio3
“Drawing on all the right influences, yet still maintaining originality, Wish are a tasteful band and one to look out for in 2015.”

ETIQUETTE is pleased to share the video for “Outside In” through a premiere by STEREOGUM. The song appears on their forthcoming debut album, Reminisce, due for release February 24, 2015 on Hand Drawn Dracula. The video was directed by Christopher Mills and Gaëlle Legrand, with support from MuchFACT.
“the album will be one to look out for. It’s eerie, minimal synth and guitar music in the vein of Chromatics, or the back half of Talking Heads’ Remain In Light” ~ STEREOGUM
“Outside In” will be available digitally on December 16th, just two days before Etiquette take the stage in their hometown of Toronto at Danforth Music Hall, opening for Rural Alberta Advantage.
BELIEFS is pleased to launch the video for new song “Tidal Wave” via the fine folks at STEREOGUM. The video, directed by Trevor Blumas (DOOMSQUAD) and Laura Lynn Petrick, perfectly complements the song evoking an atmosphere of pre-digital age, public access late-night music television. The track is a preview from the forthcoming album Leaper, scheduled to be released in spring 2015.
“Beliefs hail from Toronto and make the kind of fogged-in shoegaze that stands the test of time — I could have seen this band play last weekend in Brooklyn, but my mom could have seen them the year I was born.” ~ STEREOGUM
PRAISES “The Devil” video premieres on CHARTATTACK, an ICEAGE cover, and local shows announced.
“The co-leader of Toronto shoegazers Beliefs debuts an otherworldly video for her dusted pop solo project. In Jesse Crowe’s Praises, you can still hear the same knack for sweeping melody displayed in the fuzzier shoegaze project Beliefs. It’s good music for impromptu journeys, and in her video for the “The Devil” we’re treated to a living room performance (shot by her father) superimposed with footage of a trip through Iceland.” ~ CHARTATTACK
Also listen to PRAISES cover of Iceage “Morals” via EXCLAIM!
“Crowe lets her cover slowly hit your core, like a couple extra shots of high-grade NyQuil” ~ Exclaim!
