• ROLEMODEL

ROLEMODEL (formerly RLMDL) is an indie pop/electro/shoegaze music act founded by Toronto musician-producer Jordan Allen, who first began the project as a “solo noise pop sound experiment” in 2011.

After releasing several EPs, ROLEMODEL’s debut full-length album, Before Then Was Now, was released in 2013, earning the band positive reviews in Pitchfork, Consequence of Sound, BBC6 and more. The project soon morphed into a new, fully integrated 4-piece live band, and began performing regularly in the Toronto circuit alongside acts such as Hamilton Leithauser (the Walkmen), Big Data, Diamond Rings, Young Magic, and Viet Cong.
